In our leadership of Claverley CE Primary School, we aim to live out our shared Vision, rooted in Biblical teaching, in all that we do. Our Church school motto ‘to encourage one another and build each other up’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11)’ reflects our vision to empower all to flourish and support them to fulfil their God given potential inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus. Our curriculum is designed to inspire, challenge and support each child to achieve.
Our vision at Claverley C of E primary is ‘to encourage one another and build each other up’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11) so that we are each empowered to make the most of the lives we have been gifted by God (to live out our BEST lives).
Our vision is achieved through our mission in practice in the 4 positive action statements that form the basis of the Claverley code:
Believe that we can change things for the better (Hope)
rEspect our environment and each other (Dignity)
Support our friends and community (Community)
Take every opportunity to learn (Wisdom)
Our strong Christian vision is underpinned by these words from the Bible:
‘encourage one another and build each other up’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Our mission as a school is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum where high quality teaching and learning is delivered in a vibrant, supportive learning environment, underpinned by the teachings and values of Christianity to serve our community and beyond. We encourage the children at all times to reflect on how the values impact on the way they show and gain respect in their everyday lives. We believe these values enable the school to demonstrate its Christian distinctiveness whilst promoting the importance of understanding and appreciating other cultures, religions and world views.
Our holistic and well-rounded approach towards education provides a secure foundation for life-long learning and flourishing, building opportunities for every child to grow in self-esteem, confidence and academic success. We want our children to be open to opportunities, able to make decisions and overcome challenge based on their beliefs and world views.
We encourage our children, and school community, to be courageous and have strength of character to stand up for what they believe to be right, to fight injustice whilst keeping peace and reconciliation in mind. We want them to have respect and care for the world; to be open to opportunities to build up themselves, our school and community; to show kindness and compassion to our neighbours wherever and whoever they may be.
We encourage perseverance to ensure children have the resilience to learn from mistakes and are able to question and challenge in ways that show respect and treat others with dignity. We aim to provide a safe and inclusive environment where children develop understanding of values in action, with space to develop their spirituality and own beliefs whilst respecting the beliefs and world views of others.
As a community, we want our children to have a passion for life and learning; to celebrate love and friendship so they are able to serve each other and the wider community. They will understand how to keep themselves safe and well, valuing mental as well as physical health, wellbeing and spirituality. We work to ensure our school community can appreciate the diversity of society in modern Britain and be thankful for all of the many different parts which make us whole, aiming to value each other and work together in hope.
