Microsoft log ins

We will be completing a unit of work on collaborative learning this term in Computing.  We have started by using Purple Mash but need to use Microsoft Office 365 next week. For this we need the individual Microsoft office log ins which we provided last year.  The children have been asked to check at home whether they still have a record of their school email and password. We know some families prefer to keep such records for their children, so they come to you and ask.

I would like to see if we can get most of the class logged in from existing emails and passwords. Some of these are different from those which were initially given when they were set up as Microsoft allows (and often prompts) users to reset their passwords.

Don’t worry if you can’t find it – I can reset them if necessary and I know it is a while since the children logged into Teams.

Spellings w/c 10th January

This week we have some words which are commonly mis-spelt from the KS2 statutory spelling list.

accident
actually
although
believe
bicycle
business
caught
centre
century
certain
circle
decide

Try to recall some of the different ways to learn these eg  pyramid words, segmenting and writing in different colours or “writing without vowels” ( eg b_l__v_ you then add the correct vowels in the gaps)

Welcome back

Dear All,

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow. We are expecting the gym teacher so please could the children come dressed for indoor PE. It is chilly in the classroom as we endeavour to keep it well ventilated so they do also  need tracksuit bottoms; their little legs in shorts get very cold. It is also PE on Friday and we will be starting swimming next Thursday 13th January.

Maths booster, for those year 6 involved, will be resuming on the 14th January at 8:30am.

Finally, we would  all like to say a very BIG thankyou for our generous gift vouchers; what a wonderful and thoughtful gift. Mr Wade did suggest  tentatively  putting it towards the Christmas shop at M and S but was quickly shot down in flames! We will all be spending them on something special for ourselves- thank you.

Yours

J. Benson, R. Bernasconi  and L. Wade

Blue Santa Dash

This afternoon the children had lots of fun with our sports coach , Miss Beamand, who organised the Santa Dash. Whilst some children were doing laps of the field dressed in their Santa hats , the rest of the class were doing a Christmas themed obstacle course.

Design and technology

This half term we have designed and made our own bag/ case in design and technology. After analysing a variety of bags and learning different stitches and fastenings, the children used the skills they had learnt to design their own case.
I think you will be impressed by the finished results. 7

wouldn’t
shouldn’t
couldn’t
won’t
I’ll
