Reception Maths Request

Next week reception children will be looking at time as part of our maths learning. To support their understanding of this we would like to look at photographs of the children when they were smaller (babies/toddlers). We would be grateful if children could each bring in 1 or 2 photos of themselves on Wednesday 8th March for us to share as a class. Alternatively, you can email me the photos to display electronically.

Thank you for your continued support.

Cardboard Rolls

Over the next two weeks, as part of one of our enhanced provision activities, we will need a selection of cardboard rolls. We would be very grateful of any cardboard rolls that you could save for us and bring into school for all of the children to use.
They can be any size, length and width. The greater variety, the better.

Thank you for your continued support.

Cricket

This half term, the children in Green and Yellow Class have been given the wonderful opportunity to take part in Cricket PE lessons on a Monday afternoon.

Please could children in Green and Yellow Class come into school in their PE kits every Monday this half term, starting from Monday 27th February.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr Wolf’s Pancakes

Next week we will be looking at the story ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’. On Monday 27th February, as an introduction to our new story, the children will be making their very own pancakes. The pancakes will be made using gluten free plain flour, eggs and milk. The children will also be given a choice of toppings. They can choose from golden syrup, banana, chocolate spread (nut free) or lemon and sugar.
If your child has any new allergies or if you do not wish for your child to take part, please let a member of staff know.
Thank you for your continued support.

Our Learning This Week

The children have loved participating in the NSPCC number day today. They took on various maths challenges in the classroom and all had a go at using the Numbots app on the iPads. You can access Numbots at home at any time using your child’s login details.

Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week starts on Monday 6th February.

The theme for this year is ‘Let’s Connect’.

Let’s Connect is about making meaningful connections. People thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing. When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing.
