Green Class Forest School (extra session)

On Tuesday 19th March, Green class will be joining the Year 1 children in the afternoon for our last Forest School session of the Spring Term.
Children are welcome to come to school in their school jumper with blue or black jogging bottoms.

Shropshire Star

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is a polite reminder that a photographer from the ‘Shropshire Star’ newspaper will be joining us to capture the children’s ‘TEACHREX’ experience on Monday 18th March 2024. Photographs will be included as part of a feature in the newspaper.

Please be rest assured that children who do not have consent to appear on the school website will respectfully not be included in any of the photographer’s photographs and therefore, will not feature in the newspaper.

Please could we ask that you speak to a member of staff if you DO NOT wish for your child to be included in any individual/small group/large group photograph that could potentially be used as part of the feature in the newspaper. Otherwise, it will be assumed that you give your full consent for your child to have their photograph taken and to appear in the newspaper.

We are sure that a number of photographs will be taken throughout the morning, so we will not know ourselves which photos will be ultimately be selected to appear in the newspaper and which children will feature.

Many thanks for your continued support

World Book Day 7.03.24

Good Evening,

As tomorrow is World Book Day the whole school will be participating in a house day. This is where children from all classes join together in their coloured houses and rotate around the school completing various activities.

For this reason there will be no PE lesson so children in Green class will not need to come to school in their PE kit.

Den Building!

Dear parents and carers,

I’m sure we can all look back on our childhood and remember the days of begging our grown ups for bed sheets to build dens! Not only does this create life long memories, but it is also very beneficial for a child’s spacial awareness, problem solving and gross motor skills. We would love for the children in Green class to have the opportunity to make dens as part of their outdoor learning environment.
We would be incredibly grateful of any donations of old bedsheets, duvet covers, large pieces of fabric that our children can use to build dens!

Many thanks for your continued support.
